Change Advanced preferences in the Apple TV app on Mac
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, use the Advanced pane in TV preferences to reset several options.
To change these preferences, choose TV > Preferences, then click Advanced.
Option | Description | ||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Forget All Remotes | If you used the iTunes Remote app to pair an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with a specific media library, select this option to disconnect all devices from that media library. | ||||||||||
Reset all dialog warnings | If you selected “Do not show this message again” in one or more dialogs in the Apple TV app, clicking Reset Warnings makes the messages appear again. | ||||||||||
Reset TV Store cache | The Apple TV app saves the store pages you visit on your computer in a temporary location called the cache. If you return later, the Apple TV app can retrieve the page from the cache faster than getting it from the internet. If the content on a page seems outdated, you can reset the cache to retrieve the latest version. If you think a page isn’t opening properly, resetting the cache may help. | ||||||||||
Clear what you’ve watched from your devices | Click Clear Play History to remove information about what you’ve watched (information that’s synced with the Apple TV app on other devices). This also removes TV shows and movies from Up Next. | ||||||||||
Keep video playback on top of all other windows | Select to keep the video playback window always in the foreground. |
