Intro to Blueprints in Apple Configurator on Mac
Use Blueprints to record actions that can be applied to actual devices. You add configuration profiles and apps to Blueprints, just as you would add them to a physical device. You can prepare a Blueprint so it has the mobile device management (MDM) information and supervision identity attached. You can also add specific actions to a Blueprint, such as putting the device into Single App Mode. After you have the Blueprint the way you want, you can apply it to a device.
Create a Blueprint
In Apple Configurator 2 on your Mac, click the Edit Blueprints button in the toolbar, then select Edit Blueprints.
Click New and rename the Blueprint from Untitled to a name you choose.
You can now add profiles, apps, and actions to your Blueprint.
When you finish, click Done.
Apply a Blueprint
In Apple Configurator 2 on your Mac, select a device or group of devices in the device browser.
Choose Actions > Apply > <Name of Blueprint>.
All Blueprint actions are performed and all Blueprint profiles and apps are added.
