Change settings in Final Cut Pro for iPad
You can change settings for the Final Cut Pro for iPad app or for an individual project.
Change app settings
Go to the Final Cut Pro app on your iPad.
In the Projects screen, tap
, then tap Settings.Tap App Settings, then do any of the following:
Connect your iPad with devices running Final Cut Camera: Turn on Make iPad Discoverable. See Connect Live Multicam recording devices.
Disconnect devices running Final Cut Camera: Tap Forget All Cameras. See Disconnect devices.
Change the jog wheel scroll direction: Tap
to the right of Scroll Direction, then choose Clockwise or Counterclockwise. See Make precise edits with the jog wheel.Remove temporary video and audio files: Tap Clear Render Cache.
Remove downloaded content and effects: Tap Remove All Downloaded Content and Effects. This option appears after you download effects, transitions, titles, or generators.
Change project settings
Go to the Final Cut Pro app on your iPad.
In the Projects screen, tap a project in the sidebar to select it, tap
, then tap Settings.Tap Project Settings, then do any of the following:
Change the project name: Tap the name in the Project Name field, then enter a new name using the onscreen keyboard.
Automatically analyze media for spoken dialogue: Turn on Transcribe Audio. When this setting is turned on, you can search media in the browser for spoken words and phrases in English. See Find or filter clips.
Remove temporary project render files: Tap Clear Project Render Cache.
Change privacy and analytics settings
Apple collects a variety of data, some of which is associated with your Apple Account. You can limit the use of certain analytics data or reset your identifier specifically used by apps in Apple Creator Studio.
Go to the Settings app
on your iPad.Tap Apps, then tap Final Cut Pro.
Do any of the following:
Turn off analytics: Turn off Share Analytics Data.
Reset your identifier: Turn on Reset Identifier.
When you turn on this setting, your identifier is reset the next time you open Final Cut Pro for iPad.
If you use iCloud Passwords & Keychain, turning off analytics or resetting your identifier affects your devices with iCloud Passwords & Keychain turned on. To see how your data is managed, go to https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/final-cut-pro.
