There are two ways you can increase the screen contrast to make items easier to see on Apple TV.
In Settings 
on Apple TV, go to Accessibility > Increase Contrast, then turn on Reduce Transparency.
In Settings on Apple TV, go to Accessibility > Increase Contrast > Focus Style, then choose High Contrast.
