If you can’t eject a disk

If you try to eject a disk or storage device and see a message that you can’t eject it, try the following solutions.
If you can’t eject an external disk or storage device
Choose Apple menu > Log Out, then log in again. Try to eject the disk again.
If you still can’t eject the disk, choose Apple menu > Shut Down. Disconnect the disk from your computer, then start up your computer again.
If you can’t eject a CD or DVD
Choose Apple menu > Log Out, then log in again. Try to eject the disc again.
If you still can’t eject the CD or DVD, choose Apple menu > Restart. While your computer restarts, hold down the mouse or trackpad button until the disc is ejected.
If you can’t eject a network disk
Choose Apple menu > Log Out, then log in again.
The network disk should be gone.
