Import Sony X-OCN files in Final Cut Pro for Mac
You can import and work with Sony X-OCN files in Final Cut Pro when you install the media extension from nablet.
Import Sony X-OCN files
Install the X-OCN Media Extension.
In order for Final Cut Pro to recognize the X-OCN files, you must download and install the X-OCN Media Extension for macOS.
Choose Apple menu
> System Settings.
Click General
in the sidebar, then click Login Items & Extensions. (You may need to scroll down.)Scroll down to the Extensions section, click By Category (if available), then click the Info button next to Media Extensions.
Under Video Decoders, turn on “nablet X-OCN Decoder,” and under Video Raw Processors, turn on “nablet X-OCN Processor,” then click Done.
Quit Final Cut Pro (if it’s open), then reopen Final Cut Pro.
Import the media into Final Cut Pro.
Important: If you’re importing RAW media, make sure to deselect the “Create optimized media” and “Create proxy media” options, because you will have to discard any transcoded media before adjusting the RAW settings. See Adjust Sony X-OCN RAW settings, below.

Adjust Sony X-OCN RAW settings
You can adjust X-OCN RAW files in Final Cut Pro using the RAW Processor Settings window.
Verify that the current versions of Final Cut Pro and Pro Video Formats software are installed:
Final Cut Pro: Choose Apple menu
> App Store, then click Updates in the sidebar.
Pro Video Formats: Choose Apple menu
> System Settings, click General
in the sidebar, then click Software Update.
Install the the X-OCN Media Extension and import the X-OCN files.
See Import Sony X-OCN files, above.
Quit Final Cut Pro (if it’s open), then reopen Final Cut Pro.
In the Final Cut Pro browser or timeline, select the clip or clips you want to adjust.
Note: Compound clips can’t be adjusted.
Open the Info inspector, then click Edit RAW Properties.
In the RAW Processor Settings window, adjust the settings.
