Use encrypted backups in Apple Configurator on Mac
Backups are normally not encrypted. However, you may want to use encrypted backups to save users’ passwords. In this way, you make sure that no one without a password can view the backups, even if they have access to the Mac with Apple Configurator 2 installed.
Enable encrypted backups
In Apple Configurator 2 on your Mac, select a device or Blueprint, then choose Actions > Advanced > Enable Encrypted Backups.
Enter a password and verify it, then click Set Password.
Disable encrypted backups
