See if your Mac works with new products in System Information
When you’re considering buying a new hardware or software product, you can use System Information to find out if your Mac meets the minimum requirements for the product, such as memory, processor speed, or video card requirements.
Open System Information for me
To open the System Information app and see a system report for your Mac, do one of the following:
Choose Apple menu
Press and hold the Option key, then choose Apple menu
Click the Launchpad icon
in the Dock, click Other, then click System Information.
In general, if the configuration listed in System Information equals or exceeds the minimum requirements for the new product, you should be able to use it.
