Turn off FileVault on Mac
If you have a Mac with Apple silicon or an Apple T2 Security Chip, your data is encrypted automatically. FileVault provides further protection by requiring your login password to access your data. Turning off FileVault removes that extra layer of protection.
Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Privacy & Security in the sidebar, then click FileVault. (You may need to scroll down.)
Click Turn Off.
Click Turn Off Encryption.
Thanks for your feedback.
