Mute notes in the Piano Roll Editor in Logic Pro for iPad
You can mute individual notes in the Piano Roll Editor, letting you experiment with different note choices in a melody, or different chord voicings, for example.
Mute or unmute notes
In the Piano Roll Editor menu bar, tap the Trim button .
Tap the note to select it, or select multiple notes.
Tap the Inspector button on the left side of the view control bar (or press I on your external keyboard) to open the Note inspector.
Tap the Details disclosure arrow to show the Details parameters, and then tap the Mute switch to mute or unmute the selected notes.
Muted notes turn gray.
Unmute all muted notes on a track
In the Piano Roll Editor menu bar, tap the Trim button .
Tap the background of a region to deselect any selected notes, then tap again and choose Select Muted Notes from the menu.
In the Notes inspector, tap the Mute switch.
Delete all muted notes on a track
You can quickly delete all muted notes if you decide you don’t need those notes in your arrangement.
In the Piano Roll Editor menu bar, tap the Trim button .
Tap the background of a region to deselect any selected notes, then tap again and choose Select Muted Notes from the menu.
Tap a selected note and choose Delete from the menu.
