System requirements
The recommended system requirement for Compressor 4.5 is macOS 11. The minimum system requirement is macOS 10.15.6. For more information, go to Final Cut Pro tech specs, then click Compressor at the top of the page.
Apple silicon
Compressor now runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel-based Mac computers.
