Intro to collaboration in Numbers for iCloud
You can collaborate with others in real time by sharing a link to your Numbers for iCloud spreadsheet. Shared spreadsheets and any changes to them are saved in iCloud, and people working in the spreadsheet see the changes as they’re made.
As the owner of the spreadsheet, you control who can open it, and what they can do:
Spreadsheet access: You can send a link that anyone can use to open the spreadsheet. Or, you can invite specific people who must sign in with their Apple ID to open the spreadsheet.
Editing permission: You can choose whether others can make changes to the spreadsheet, or only view it.
iCloud requirements
If you set access to allow anyone with the link access to open your spreadsheet, they don’t need an iCloud account or Apple ID to view or edit the shared spreadsheet.
If you invite only specific people to collaborate on your spreadsheet, they must be signed in with an Apple ID and have iCloud Drive turned on to view or edit the spreadsheet. See Accept an invitation to collaborate.
Minimum system requirements
To view or edit a shared spreadsheet, people you share with need any of the following:
A Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later and Numbers 10.2 or later
An iPhone with iOS 13.1 or later and Numbers 10.2 or later
An iPad with iPadOS 13.1 or later and Numbers 10.2 or later
A Mac or Windows computer with a supported browser
Anyone with an Android device, or an iPhone or iPad that doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements, can view, but not edit, the spreadsheet.
In Numbers for iCloud, you can invite others to collaborate on individual spreadsheets. To share multiple spreadsheets at the same time, use the folder sharing feature in macOS Catalina 10.15.4, iOS 13.4, or iPadOS 13.4, or later.
