Turn Beats automatic ear detection on or off
Supported Beats feature Automatic Ear Detection. On Apple devices, audio is automatically transferred from connected devices to your Beats. On Android devices, the earphones sense when they’re in your ears and automatically play audio.
You can turn Automatic Ear Detection on or off.
Turn automatic ear detection on or off on iPhone or iPad
Wear your Beats and make sure they’re connected to your iPhone or iPad.
Go to Settings
, then tap the name of your Beats near the top of the screen.
Scroll down to Automatic Ear Detection, then tap the switch to turn it on or off.
Turn automatic ear detection on or off on Mac
Wear your Beats and make sure they’re connected to your Mac.
Choose Apple menu
> System Settings, then click the name of your Beats in the sidebar.Tap the Automatic Ear Detection switch to turn it on or off.
Turn automatic ear detection on or off on an Android device
Wear your Beats and make sure they’re connected to your Android device.
Go to the Beats app
. (If your Beats device screen doesn’t appear, tap , then tap My Beats.)Scroll down to Automatic Ear Detection, then tap the switch to turn it on or off.
