Use VoiceOver in the Apple TV app
VoiceOver lets you control the Apple TV app without seeing the screen. You use buttons on the smart TV or device remote to move around the screen, and listen as VoiceOver speaks each item you highlight.
When you highlight an item, VoiceOver speaks the item and any associated text. VoiceOver also speaks text areas on the screen, such as movie descriptions.
Note: This feature may be disabled on devices that already include a built-in screen reader. See your device’s user guide for more information.
Turn VoiceOver on or off
Note: If you turn on the built-in screen reader function on your smart TV, VoiceOver turns on automatically. See your smart TV user guide for more information.
In Settings in the Apple TV app
, select Accessibility, then turn on VoiceOver.
