Import and export Terminal profiles on Mac
If you want to transfer Terminal profiles between computers, you can import and export them. The exported files end with a .terminal extension.
Import a profile
- Go to the Terminal app  on your Mac. on your Mac.
- Choose Terminal > Settings, then click Profiles. 
- Do one of the following: - Click  , choose Import, select the file that contains the profile, then click Open. , choose Import, select the file that contains the profile, then click Open.
- Drag the file that contains the profile from the Finder to the profiles list. 
 
Export a profile
- Go to the Terminal app  on your Mac. on your Mac.
- Choose Terminal > Settings, then click Profiles. 
- Do one of the following: - Select the profile you want to export, click  , choose Export, enter a name for the file, then click Save. , choose Export, enter a name for the file, then click Save.
- Drag a profile from the profiles list to the Finder.
