Convert Session Player regions into MIDI or pattern regions in Logic Pro for iPad
In the Logic Pro Session Player Editor, you can edit Session Player regions, but not specific notes. To edit specific notes, you need to use the Piano Roll Editor or Step Sequencer. Before you can do so, you must first convert your Session Player regions into MIDI regions or pattern regions. See Overview of the Piano Roll Editor and Intro to Step Sequencer.
After converting a Session Player region into a MIDI or pattern region, you can replace it with a Session Player region at any time. However, any edits you’ve made to the region will be lost.
Convert a Session Player region into a regular MIDI region
You can convert a Session Player region into a pattern region, and then edit it in Step Sequencer. If the Session Player region is longer than four bars, additional pattern regions are created (each with a maximum length of four bars) to equal the length of the converted Session Player region.
In the Tracks area in Logic Pro, select the Session Player region.
Tap the selected Session Player region, tap Convert, then tap Convert to MIDI Region.
The resulting MIDI region behaves the same way as any other MIDI region, and you can edit it in the Piano Roll Editor.
