Change Ethernet settings in Network preferences on Mac
Use the Ethernet pane of Network preferences on your Mac to set up and manage your Ethernet connection.
To change these preferences on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Network , then select an Ethernet service in the list on the left.
If there’s a lock at the bottom left of the Network pane, click it to unlock the preference pane.

Service List | List of network services. Create a new network service: Click the Add button , click the Interface pop-up menu, then choose the type of network service you want to create. Limit IP Address Tracking | Limit IP address tracking by hiding your IP address from known trackers in Mail and Safari. If you subscribe to iCloud+ and have Private Relay turned on in iCloud preferences, it’s turned off when you deselect this option. See Use iCloud Private Relay on Mac. Note: iCloud Private Relay is currently in beta. | ||||||||||
802.1X: <profile name> Connect | Join a network protected by 802.1X. This option is available if you have a profile installed for a network protected by 802.1X. | ||||||||||
