Intro to preparing your environment for deployment
Preparation is critical to a seamless deployment of Apple devices. Use these steps—even before you have your devices in hand—to lay the groundwork for your deployment.
In phase 2, Apple School Manager helps to integrate iPad and Mac into your environment and streamline your deployment. Use Apple School Manager to connect to your mobile device management (MDM) solution, assign devices, configure device settings, connect your identity provider (IdP) management system and your student directories, create Managed Apple IDs, assign roles, configure policies and settings, and purchase content. After you’ve configured everything, set up a test environment to test and adjust your deployment plan.
