
Rate places and add photos in Maps on Mac
You can rate places you visit and share photos to help others.
Note: The Apple Ratings and Photos feature isn’t available in all countries or regions.
Provide ratings and photos
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click a location on a map.
In the place card, click
at the bottom of the card, then do any of the following:
Provide ratings: Click
or
for the available categories.
Submit photos: Click Add a Photo, choose the photos you want to add, then click Add.
Note: If the Rate button isn’t available, you can’t rate that location or add a photo.
Click Done.
To upload your photos to Apple, you must have an Apple Account.
Your ratings and photos appear on all devices where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account.
Edit your ratings
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click your icon in the top right of the map.
Click Ratings & Photos.
Click a location in the Ratings and Photos card.
Click
, then make your changes.
Click Done, then click Done again.
Edit your photos
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click your icon in the top right of the map.
Click Ratings & Photos, then click a location with a photo you want to edit.
Click Your Photos, click the photo you want to edit, then click
.
Click one of the following:
Delete Your Photo
Change Photo Credit
Stop receiving suggestions to submit ratings and photos
If you recently visited or took a photo of a point of interest, a suggestion to submit a rating or photo may appear. Suggestions are processed on device and cannot be read by Apple. To stop receiving these suggestions:
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Choose Maps > Settings.
Click Ratings & Photos.
Deselect Show Ratings and Photos Suggestions.
