Add a password to a keychain
You can store passwords and login information in Keychain Access so you don’t have to remember or enter that information. You can add passwords for servers, email accounts, and other password-protected resources to your keychain.
Apps and servers may automatically create a keychain with a password for you when you create your account or log in, or they may offer you the option to have Keychain Access remember the password. You can also add a password manually by following the steps below.
Select a keychain from the keychains list in the top left.
Choose File > New Password Item.
Enter the information for Keychain Item Name, Account Name, and Password.
You can select Show Typing to show the characters as you type to make sure they’re correct.
