Search in Photos on iPad
When you search in the Photos app , you see suggestions for moments, people, and places to help you find what you’re looking for, or rediscover a moment you forgot about. Type a keyword into the search field to help you find the photo you’re looking for—for example, a person’s name, a date, or a location.
Ask Siri. Say something like: “Show me photos from January 2010.” Learn how to ask Siri.
Tap the Search tab, then tap the search field at the top of the screen to search by:
Date (month or year)
Place (city or state)
Business names (museums or restaurants, for example)
Category (beach or sunset, for example)
Events (sports games or concerts, for example)
Person (Lia or Gordon, for example)
Looking for something more specific? Refine your search with multiple keywords—simply keep adding keywords until you find the photo you want. Search also suggests keywords to add to your search.
