Change an Xsan controller’s IP address in macOS Server
Follow these instructions to change the IP address of an Xsan metadata controller.
WARNING: To avoid losing data on volumes hosted by the SAN, you must have a standby metadata controller available for each volume.
In the Server app sidebar, select Xsan from the list of advanced services.
Select the controller whose IP address you wish to change, then click to remove it from the SAN.
Change the computer’s IP address in the Network pane of System Preferences.
With its new address, add the computer back to the SAN as a metadata controller.
Thanks for your feedback.
