Find and replace text in Pages for iCloud
You can search your document for a particular word or phrase, and optionally replace the found text with new text.
Click the View button in the toolbar, then choose Show Find & Replace.
Note: In a shared document set to View Only, click the Find button in the toolbar. You can search for, but not replace, a word or phrase.
Enter a word or phrase you want to find in the Find field.
To refine your search, click the Settings button next to the search field, then do any of the following:
Find words matching the capitalization of the text you entered: Choose Match Case.
Restrict search results to whole words: Choose Whole Words.
For example, searching for under with Whole Words selected won’t find the word underline.
Replace found text with new text: Choose Find & Replace, then enter the new text in the Replace field.
Click the arrows to select the next or previous instance of text that matches your search.
When you find the text you want to change, do either of the following:
Replace the selected text: Click Replace.
If you left the Replace field blank, the selected text is deleted.
Replace the selected text with new text: Enter new text in the Replace field, then click Replace.
When you’re finished, click Done or press the Esc (Escape) key.
