
Monitor base stations for problems in AirPort Utility on Mac
You can have AirPort Utility automatically monitor all of the base stations on your network. If a problem is detected, AirPort Utility opens and provides instructions to help resolve the problem.
- Open the AirPort Utility app  on your Mac, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder. on your Mac, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
- Choose AirPort Utility > Settings. 
- To investigate problems that may cause the base station’s status light to flash amber, select “Monitor AirPort base stations for problems”. - After selecting the tickbox, you can do either of the following: - To limit the number of base stations monitored to those set up from the computer you’re using, select “Only monitor AirPort base stations that I have configured”. 
- To monitor your wireless devices remotely, select “Monitor AirPort base stations over the Internet using Bonjour”.
