If you can’t view a home
If you can’t view a home that you set up or were invited to in the Home app, update to the latest version of Apple Home. If you still can’t view a home, find out what to do.
Update Apple Home
Update any homes you’ve set up to the latest version of Apple Home.* If you didn’t set up a home, ask the owner of the home to update.
Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.

. If you own multiple homes, choose one, then select Home Settings.Select Software Update.
Tap or click Update Now, then follow the prompts. All of the homes that you own will be updated at the same time.
“This home and all accessories are up to date” will appear on the Software Update screen after you’ve updated.
If the home owner can’t update or chooses not to, you can leave a shared home that you no longer need access to.
* iPad is not supported as a home hub on the latest version of Apple Home.
If homes have already been updated
Update your device. Any device that is not running iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, macOS 13.1, tvOS 16.2 or watchOS 9.2 or later will lose access to an updated home until the device is updated.
Go to Settings (System Settings on Mac) > [your name] > iCloud. Under Saved to iCloud, tap Passwords, then tap Sync this [Device] to turn on iCloud Passwords and Keychain.
Go to Settings (System Settings on Mac) > [your name] > Sign-In & Security, and turn on Two-Factor Authentication.

to check if you have more than one home. If a home doesn’t have accessories, remove it from the Home app. Select , then scroll down and select Remove Home.
If you still can’t access a home, contact Apple Support.
