Modify Shazam app settings on an Android device
Use Shazam app settings to save your identified songs, sync your songs to Apple Music or Spotify, identify songs in other apps, change app preferences, and access support.
Go to the Shazam app
on an Android device, then tap
(or swipe to the Library).
Tap
, then adjust any of the following:
Tips and recommendations: Shows suggestions to optimize your Shazam experience, such as joining Apple Music or adding a Shazam button to your quick settings menu.
Notification bar: Shows a persistent Tap to Shazam option in the notification bar, allowing you to identify music while using any app.
Pop-up Shazam: Lets you identify songs in other apps (such as TikTok).
Auto Shazam: Lets you use Auto Shazam when you switch to another app or when your device is locked. You can select one of two modes:
Single result mode: Turns Auto Shazam off after one song is identified.
Continuous mode: Continuously identifies music playing around you.
Tip: You can control the Shazam app’s access to your device’s microphone in Android Settings
> “Security and privacy” and in Android Settings
> Apps > Shazam > Permissions > Microphone.
Apple Music: Lets you play song previews or open your identified songs in Apple Music. When the Shazam app is connected to Apple Music, your identified songs are automatically added to a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Apple Music.
Spotify: Lets you open your identified songs in Spotify. When the Shazam app is connected to Spotify, your identified songs are automatically added to a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Spotify.
To use Spotify with Shazam, the Spotify app must be installed on your Android device and you must be a Spotify subscriber.
Shazam on app start: Lets Shazam start listening as soon as you open the app.
Vibrate on result: Allows a vibration (on supported devices) when Shazam identifies (or can’t identify) a song.
Autoplay videos: Automatically plays a video preview (if available) in the track screen.
Appearance: Sets the app interface to dark, light, or system default color scheme.
About: Provides links to legal and license information, and shortcuts to submit a diagnostic report and to reset your installation ID (see Shazam & Privacy on the Shazam website). Also displays your current app version.

Sign in or sign up: Lets you log in with your Google Account or email to save your identified songs in the app library. This setting only appears when you’re not logged in.
You can also adjust Android text display settings to make the Shazam app easier to read on your device’s screen.
