Add and manage members for multiple channels in News Publisher (ANF)
If you have the Administrator or Editor in Chief role in two or more channels, you can add members to multiple channels and assign them different roles for each channel. For example, a member can have the Editor in Chief role for one channel, and the Editor role for another. You can later change their roles—for example, add them to other channels or change their roles in channels they currently have access to.
Administrators can assign all roles. Editors in Chief can assign all roles except Sales. Users with the Administrator or Editor in Chief role can also remove members, and revoke and resend invitations.
To add and manage members, go to icloud.com, sign in, then click News Publisher. Click the channel name in the toolbar, choose All Channels from the dropdown menu, then follow these steps.
Add a member
Click Add Member, then enter a member name and email address.
In the Roles table, choose a member role for each channel or assign a single role in the All Channels row, then click Send Invitation.
Ensure that No Access is selected for those channels you don’t want the member to access.
The member receives an email invitation to join your channels. To join, the member must accept the invitation, which expires after 3 days. The names and roles of invited members appear in the Invited table at the top of the Members page.
Note: Members sign in to News Publisher using their Apple ID. If the invited member attempts to redeem the invitation with a different Apple ID, they must request approval. Members whose approvals are pending appear on the Members page with a light red background. Click Review to the right of the member’a role, then click Approve.
Revoke an invitation
You can revoke an invitation any time before the member accepts it.
In the Invited table, click Revoke to the right of the member’s role.
Click Revoke Invitation to confirm.
Resend an invitation
If an invitation has expired, you can resend it.
In the Invited table, click Resend to the right of the member’s role.
You can also choose to delete an expired invitation.
Click Resend Invitation to confirm.
Search for a member
Enter the first name, last name, or portion of a name in the search field.
You can also search for people who have been invited.
Change a member’s roles
Users with the Administrator or Editor in Chief role can change a member’s role.
Click Edit to the right of the member’s role, choose different roles in the table, then click Save.
Note: When you don’t have permission to change someone’s role, you see a View button instead of an Edit button. For example, Administrators see the View button for other Administrators. Editors in Chief see a View button for Administrators and Sales.
Remove a member
To remove a member from all channels, click Edit to the right of the member’s role.
In the Roles table, choose No Access in the All Channels row, then click Save.
Click Remove Member to confirm.
To remove a member from one or more—but not all—channels, select No Access for those channels, then click Save.
Note: You can’t remove a member unless you have permission to manage a particular member role.
