5. Preview the patient and provider experiences
You’re ready to preview the two user-interface aspects of Health app data Share with Provider. First, you’ll preview the patient experience sharing health data with your organization using iPhone and iPad. Then, you’ll preview the provider experience of viewing Apple Health app data from within your EHR application.
Note: Previewing in the Health app requires iOS 15, iPadOS 17, or later, with the region set to the United States. To check the region on iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > General > Language & Region > Region.
Go to the FHIR API Profile screen for the endpoint.
Click Preview near the top of the screen.
To see a preview now, scan the QR code with an iPhone or iPad camera.
To allow another person to see a preview, click Copy Preview Link, then send them the link to open and scan with an iPhone or iPad camera. Ask them to perform the following steps. (You can also send the link to yourself to quickly access the QR code later.)
Important: Distribute the preview link only to those you’ve asked to preview this feature, and don’t share this link outside your organization.
Sign in to your organization with a valid user name and password. You can use any test patient account.
Choose topics to share, tap Share, then tap Done.
To preview how a provider views patient Health app data, do the following:
Go to your EHR application, then sign in with credentials that allow chart access to the previously shared data.
Access the chart of the test patient, then click the tab, button, or link for Apple Health app Data.
