Update visionOS
When you update to the latest version of visionOS, your data and settings remain unchanged.
Before you update, set up Apple Vision Pro to back up automatically, or back it up manually.
Update Apple Vision Pro automatically
If you didn’t turn on automatic updates when you first set up your Apple Vision Pro, do the following:
Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates.
The Settings window shows the currently installed version of visionOS and whether an update is available.
Turn on Download visionOS Updates and Install visionOS Updates.
When an update is available, Apple Vision Pro downloads and installs the update overnight while the battery is connected and charging, and the device is connected to Wi-Fi. You’re notified before an update is installed.
Update Apple Vision Pro manually
At any time, you can check for and install software updates.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
The Settings window shows the currently installed version of visionOS and whether an update is available.
During the update, take off Apple Vision Pro. You can see a progress bar for the update on the front display.
