Save a favourite location in Maps on Mac
You can add locations to favourites so you can easily refer to them later.
Save a location
In the Maps app on your Mac, do one of the following:
Click the location you want to save on the map, scroll to the bottom of the place card, then click Add to Favourites.
Click the New button in the toolbar, choose Add New Place To, choose Favourites, then search for a location to add.
Get directions to a favourite location
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the location you want directions to (in the sidebar below Favourites), then click Directions in the place card.
If your favourites aren’t showing, click the arrow .
If your current location is showing, Maps uses it as your starting location, but you can enter a different one. You can drag the Reorder button next to a location to swap your starting and ending locations.
Rename a favourite location
If you’ve saved a pin to favourites, you can rename it.
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the Info button next to a location (in the sidebar below Favourites).
If your favourites aren’t showing, click the arrow .
Click in the Name field, delete the previous name, then type a new name.
Delete a favourite location
In the Maps app on your Mac, Control-click a location (in the sidebar below Favourites), then choose Remove from Favourites.
Make a favourite location your home, work or school address
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the Info button next to a location (in the sidebar below Favourites).
Below Type, select “My home”, “My work” or “My school” then click Update.
