Maintain spacing when you paste text in TextEdit on Mac
When you use “smart copy/paste”, the same spacing is maintained when you copy and paste words in your TextEdit documents.
In the TextEdit app
on your Mac, choose TextEdit > Settings, then click New Document.Select “Smart copy/paste” under Options.
