Change Profiles preferences on Mac
On your Mac, use Profiles System Preferences to install, view or remove configuration profiles.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Profiles.
If you haven’t installed any configuration profiles, Profiles preferences isn’t available.
Click the Add button or the Remove button to add or delete profiles.
If you can’t remove a profile, your Mac may be a managed computer. Contact a system administrator in the school or institution that provided you with the computer for more information. Some profiles can only be removed by a system administrator of your Mac.
Important: Some profiles may have a time restriction that only allows them to be installed within a specific period of time. Make sure you install the profile within the specified time limit.
Configuration profiles are files that standardise settings for Mac computers, iPhone and iPad, and Apple TV. If you have a system administrator, you may be asked to install a configuration profile to access your network, email, VPN and other services.
If you’re a network administrator and need information about setting up managed computers and installing enrolment profiles, see the Deployment Reference for Mac.
If you’re a Mac app developer looking for information about provisioning profiles, see Create a development provisioning profile.
