Reset a Managed Apple ID password with Classroom
If a student forgets their Managed Apple ID passcode or password (or resets it using www.appleid.com or iCloud), you can reset it for them.
Reset a Managed Apple ID password for a single student
In Classroom
, select a class in the sidebar.Select the student.
The Actions window appears.
Click the Password button
.Enter your teacher Managed Apple ID and password and, if necessary, proceed with two-factor authentication, then click Done.
A randomly generated temporary password appears.
Let the student know the password.
If the student is using Shared iPad and is already at the Shared iPad password entry screen, you as teacher will be presented with a Send Password button. Click that button to automatically log the student in with the temporary password, removing the need for the student to enter it manually. The student will still be prompted to change their password immediately.
