Request student work in Schoolwork
When you create a Handout, you can request that students submit work associated with the Handout. Students can submit work in response to an activity you assigned or an item you requested.
Request work for an assigned activity
In the Schoolwork app
, tap
in the dashboard or edit an existing Handout.
Tap Add Activity, tap the type of activity you want to add, then choose an activity.
If you added a file, photo, video, or scanned document activity, you can specify how to share the activity by tapping
, then tapping one of the following:
“Each student can edit their own file.” Schoolwork sends each student their own copy of the file. You work with each student in their own file.
“Students collaborate together on the same file” (iWork file only). Schoolwork sends all students one copy of the file. You and the entire class work together in a single file.
“Only you can make changes.” Schoolwork sends all students one copy of the file. Students can view the file, but only you and other teachers can make changes.
Request item work
In the Schoolwork app
, tap
in the dashboard or edit an existing Handout.
Tap Request Item.
Tap Untitled Item #, then enter a title for the student work.
Students can submit work from within Schoolwork or from another app using the Share button. When submitting from an app other than Schoolwork, students might not see the Handout title or instructional text, so it is important to provide a descriptive title for the requested work.
