View notes and locked notes on iCloud.com
When you use iCloud Notes, your notes stay up-to-date on iCloud.com and every device that has iCloud Notes turned on.
The notes list contains the notes in the currently selected folder. Notes are listed by last-modified date, with the most recent note at the top of the notes list. The list shows the first few words of each note.
View a note
In Notes on iCloud.com, select a note in the list.
If you don’t see the notes list, see Show the notes or folder list in Notes on iCloud.com.
You may need to select a different folder to see the note you want.
View and close locked notes
You can view notes you locked on an iOS device, iPadOS device, or Mac that is signed in with the same Apple ID.
In Notes on iCloud.com, do either of the following:
View locked notes: Select a locked note in the list, then enter the password you created for locked notes.
After you enter the password for one locked note, you can view other locked notes without reentering the password. The notes are locked again after a period of inactivity or when you close the browser window.
If you reset the Notes password using Notes on an iOS device, iPadOS device, or Mac, entering the new Notes password only lets you view locked notes that use the new password. If some of your notes use an older password, you must enter that password to view them.
Close locked notes: Tap the Lock button
in the Notes toolbar.
If you don’t see the notes list, see Show the notes or folder list in Notes on iCloud.com.
To add a lock to a note, remove a lock from a note, change the password for locked notes, or reset the password if you forget it, use the Notes app on your device with iOS 9.3 or later, iPadOS, or OS X 10.11.4 or later. See the Apple Support article Lock notes on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac.
