With macOS Catalina or later, your connected device's name appears in the Finder sidebar, showing its details.
If your Mac is using an earlier version of macOS, or you're using a Windows PC, your device appears in the Apple Devices app. If you don't see your device in the Finder, learn what to do.

Connect your device to your PC with a USB cable. Its icon then appears in the Apple Devices app sidebar.
