See the Apple Support article Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone or iPad.
Filter messages from known and unknown senders
Go to the Messages app on your Mac.
Choose View, then select one of the following filters:
Known Senders: Shows conversations with your contacts and people you’ve sent messages to.
Unknown Senders: Shows conversations from people who aren’t in your contacts and who you’ve never sent a message to.
To view all conversations again, choose All Messages or click .
Tip: Another way to prevent unwanted messages from bothering you is to set up communication limits to your contacts only.
Also, you can set options in Notifications settings to turn off all notifications for Messages, change how the notifications appear, and more. To pause notifications from Messages, turn on Do Not Disturb or another Focus.
