Reset a student’s password
If a student forgets their Managed Apple ID passcode or password, you can reset it for them.
Reset a Managed Apple ID password for a student
If a student forgets their password (or resets it using www.appleid.com or iCloud), use this task so the student can sign in again.
Open the Classroom app on your Mac, then select the student.
Choose Actions > Reset Password.
Enter your teacher Managed Apple ID and password, and if necessary, proceed with two-factor authentication, then click Done.
You see a randomly generated temporary password.
Let the student know the password.
If the student is using Shared iPad and is already at the Shared iPad password entry screen, you as teacher will be presented with a Send Password button. Click that button to automatically log the student in with the temporary password, removing the need for the student to enter it manually. The student will still be prompted to change their password immediately.
