Verify a file
After you add a package file, you can choose to verify it, including metadata and assets, against Apple’s specifications before sending it to Apple for upload to the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV app or Apple Books.
When you send package file information to Apple for verification, Transporter parses the metadata and verifies that the information is well formed and the data is correct, including dates, products and more.
Verify a file
For the file that contains the content you want to verify, do one of the following:
Click Verify (verify-only providers)
Choose Verify from the button (next to the Deliver button)
If you do not see your file and you are an encoding house that can deliver content for more than one provider, click the All Providers pop-up menu to filter by provider name.
Transporter confirms the package file exists in iTunes Connect or App Store Connect (asset-only film packages, TV packages, app packages only) and verifies the package content, including metadata and assets (for example, audio files, video files, book files and app files), against Apple’s specifications. Verification times can vary depending on package file size and hardware performance.
To stop verification, click the progress indicator and then click Stop.
Monitor your package file status in the Transporter window and using Transporter notifications.
For control details, see Transporter window.
To view the verification log, choose View Verification Log from the button.
Tip: If Transporter encounters any issues, icons and information detailing the severity of the issues appear in the Transporter window:
indicates that warnings occurred. Click the Issue or Issues button to view detailed information about any warnings.
indicates that delivery failed. Click the Issue or Issues button to view detailed information about the failure.
indicates the number of warnings and errors that occurred. Click the Issue or Issues button to view detailed information about any warnings and errors.
Transporter accepts packages delivered with warnings, but try to resolve all warnings before delivery. However, you cannot deliver packages with any errors.
