Set WWAN options on Mac
If your wireless service supports it, and you have a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) adapter that supports Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) or Code-Division Multiple Access (CDMA), you can connect your computer to the internet using the mobile network.
By default, macOS enters the WWAN connection settings when you insert the adapter into your computer. You can adjust these settings if your account information changes or your ISP gives you additional information.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Network .
Select your WWAN connection in the services list.
Click Advanced, then click WWAN.
Use the Vendor and Model pop-up menus to find the correct settings for your WWAN adapter.
Enter the following information, if your ISP provided it:
Enter the access point name in the APN field.
Click the CID pop-up menu, then choose the context identifier value.
The APN and CID are provided for use with GSM service.
