Insert files from iPhone or iPad into a Freeform board on Mac
Take a picture, scan a document or draw a sketch with your nearby iPhone or iPad and have it appear instantly on your Mac to include on a Freeform board.
Note: Your devices must have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® turned on, and meet system requirements. See the Apple Support article System requirements for Continuity features on Apple devices.
In the Freeform app on your Mac, click a category in the sidebar, then double-click a board to open it.
If you can’t see the sidebar, choose View > Show Sidebar.
Choose Insert > Import from iPhone or iPad, then choose one of the options.
On your iPhone or iPad, do one of the following:
For a photo: Take the photo, then tap Use Photo or Retake.
For a scan: Scan the document. Your device detects the edges of the document and automatically corrects any skewing of the image — if you want to adjust the area included in the scan, drag the frame or its edges. When you’re ready, tap Keep Scan or Retake. When you’re satisfied with the scan, tap Save.
For a sketch: Draw a sketch using your finger; on iPad, you can also use Apple Pencil. When you’re ready, tap Done or Cancel.
On your Mac, the photo, scan or sketch appears on your board. You can then format it like any photo or image.
After you add the item, you can add a description, move it to a new location, resize it, align it, rotate it, arrange it with other items or lock it.
