Locate and view your iPhone, iPad or iPod on your computer
Your device appears in the Finder or the Apple Devices app when you connect it to your computer.

With macOS Catalina or later, your connected device's name appears in the Finder sidebar, showing its details.
If your Mac is using an earlier version of macOS, or you're using a Windows PC, your device appears in the Apple Devices app. If you can't see your device in the Finder, find out what to do.

Connect your device to your PC with a USB cable. Its icon then appears in the Apple Devices app sidebar.
