Download previous purchases in the Apple TV app on Mac
If you’ve purchased items, you can download most of them to your devices and authorized computers (up to 5 total).
You can also check for purchases that haven’t been downloaded to your computer, or have the Apple TV app check for them automatically. This is useful, for example, if a download is interrupted.
Download previous purchases to an authorized computer
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, click Library at the top of the window.
Move the pointer over an item, then click the download button that appears.
To monitor the progress of the download, click the Activity icon that appears in the menu bar, or choose Window > Activity.
To find out how to download previous purchases to your device, see the user guide for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. For a device that doesn’t use the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, get the user guide from the Apple Support Manuals website.
Make sure all your purchases have been downloaded
Make sure you’re connected to the internet.
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, choose Account > Check for Available Downloads.
If requested, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Check.
Purchases not yet on your computer are downloaded.
Set the Apple TV app to check for purchases automatically
In the Apple TV app on your Mac, choose TV > Settings, then click General.
Select “Always check for available downloads,” then click OK.
Some types of previously purchased content might not be available in some countries or regions. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer on the Apple TV app.
