Use region-specific numeric formatting in Pages for iCloud
You can choose to view document information and format numerical data in tables using the conventions of a specific language or region. For example, you can view document margins in centimeters or inches, or format dates in a table in day/month/year order or in month/day/year order.
In the document manager, click your name in the upper-right corner of the toolbar, then choose Account Settings.
To use region-specific formatting for data in tables and charts, click the current time zone/region (below Time Zone/Formats), then choose a new region from the Formats pop-up menu.
The conventional formatting options for the selected region appear in the Data tab of the Format sidebar in any new documents you create. For information on formatting table data, see Format cells as currency, dates, and more.
To set the formatting used outside the contents of your document (for example, how dates are displayed in comments or which measurement system is shown on the ruler), do one of the following:
Use the formatting of the primary language in the selected region: Select the “Make formats match language” checkbox.
Use the formatting of a different language: Choose a different language from the second pop-up menu (visible only when the “Make formats match language” checkbox is not selected).
These settings affect all new documents. To use region-specific formatting for only a specific new document, see Create a document with the formatting of a different language.
To change the formatting conventions used in an existing document, open the document in Pages for Mac, iPhone, or iPad; then choose Help > Pages Help (on a Mac) or tap More > Pages Help (on iPhone or iPad).
