Get started with Preview on Mac
In the Preview app , you can view, edit, and manage PDFs and images on your Mac. You can open documents and photos, add annotations and signatures, combine or split PDF files, and share your work with others. You can work with files stored on your Mac or in iCloud, so you can access and edit files from wherever you are.
Open a PDF or image
You can open a PDF or image in the Preview app by choosing File > Open. You can also double-click the file in the Finder or on the desktop.
Navigate through a multipage PDF
Open a multipage PDF, then choose View > Thumbnails to see all pages in the sidebar. Click any thumbnail to jump to that page, or press the Up Arrow or Down Arrow key to move between pages.
Crop an image
You can crop an image to remove unwanted parts or to focus on a specific area. Click
