Delete messages on iPad
In the Messages app , you can delete messages and entire conversations from your device.
With Messages in iCloud, anything you delete from iPad is also deleted from your other Apple devices where Messages in iCloud is turned on.
Deleting messages changes only your own Messages conversations, not those of your recipients.
Note: Use Undo Send to retract a message you sent accidentally.
Delete a message
Touch and hold a message bubble, then tap More.
Select the message bubbles you want to delete, then tap
.
Delete a conversation
In the Messages list, swipe left on the conversation, then tap .
Note: Deleted messages remain in your Recently Deleted folder for up to 30 days, and you can recover them. To permanently remove a message, tap Edit (or Filters) in the top-left corner, tap Show Recently Deleted (or Recently Deleted), select the messages or conversations you want to remove, tap Delete, then follow the onscreen instructions.
