Fill effects in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
Pixelmator Pro on Mac includes Fill effects to add colors, gradients, patterns, or images to layer content:
Color fills a layer with a custom solid color.
Gradient creates smooth color transitions across a layer.
Pattern fills a layer with a repeating image pattern using imported images.
Image fills a layer with an imported image.
Fill effects controls
Fill effects have the following adjustment controls in the Effects pane. You can access the controls after applying an effect to a layer or adding an effects layer.
Fill effect control | Relevant fill effects | Description |
|---|---|---|
Color well | Color, Gradient | Click the color well to choose colors for solid fills or to customize gradient colors. |
Scale | Gradient, Pattern, Image | Drag this slider to control the size of the fill content. |
Angle | Gradient, Pattern, Image | Rotate this wheel to rotate fill content. |
Opacity | All fill effects | Drag this slider to control the transparency of the fill effect. Lower values allow more of the original layer content to show through. |
Blend Mode | All fill effects | Click |
