Set up a few basic features before you start using your new iPad.

Setup basics

The iPad Home Screen. At the top of the screen are widgets for Clock, Maps, Weather, Photos and Calendar.

Add a personal touch

Your iPad can reflect your style and preferences. Change the Lock Screen background, add widgets to the Home Screen, adjust text size, and more.

Make your iPad your own

A Group FaceTime call with four participants, including the originator. Each participant appears in a separate tile.FaceTime controls are at the bottom of the screen, including the Audio, Mic, Camera, Share Content, and End buttons. At the top of the controls are the name or Apple ID of the group or person you’re talking to, and the Info button.

Stay connected

iPad makes it easy to reach the people important to you. Start conversations in Messages, make FaceTime calls, even watch movies and listen to music together.

Keep in touch with friends and family
