Send audio clips
You can quickly record a Soundbite, or audio clip, and send it to friends instead of typing your message. Your friends can play the recording right in the Messages window.
If you want to make an audio call instead of sending a clip, see Make a FaceTime audio call from Messages.
Click the Soundbite button
to record a message.To finish the recording, click the Stop button
.Click Send.
After you send the audio clip, it disappears from your Messages window after two minutes. The recipient will still be able to play your audio clip. To preserve the audio clip in your Messages window, click Keep.
