Requirements in the Health Records Directory Listing Agreement
This page explains some requests and requirements in the Health Records Directory Listing Agreement. These apply to organizations using Apple Business Register to manage their listing in the Health app. See Tell Apple about your organization.
Worldwide license for Company Settings
Given that Apple software is distributed globally, Apple requests a worldwide license for Company Settings to enable users to directly connect to Company APIs from Apple Products in order to retrieve certain health information from Company.
Worldwide license for the display of Company Marks
Given that Apple software is distributed globally, Apple requests a worldwide license for the display of Company Marks to be used in the Health Records directory listing and to identify Company as the source of downloaded health records data. Even following termination of the Health Records Directory Listing Agreement, Apple will have the right to continue to display the Company Marks solely to identify Company as the source of health records data that has been saved by users before termination of the agreement.
Quality of Service level commitments
Apple relies on the availability of participating organizations’ APIs to provide users with a consistent and uninterrupted experience for the download of their health records. As such, for the duration of the Health Records Directory Listing Agreement, Apple requires a minimum quality of service, asking participating organizations to use reasonable efforts to keep their APIs live and accessible and to promptly correct any downtime or errors.
Test patient accounts in Apple’s production environment
For both initial and ongoing testing purposes, a test patient account—consisting exclusively of fictitious data—can be made available to Apple in your production environment for the duration of the Health Records Directory Listing Agreement. Apple uses this test patient to perform routine monitoring of proper connectivity to your FHIR API endpoints and to alert you and Apple if any issues are detected. See Test patient account requirements.
